Biography Marci Sadorf, a Registered Nurse since 1976, has over seventeen years experience in the home health care field. Prior to entering the home care arena, Marci gained extensive clinical experience in the hospital setting. Marci has seen the importance of integrating home care with additional community services to meet the client’s needs. She is a recognized expert in the home care field and a valued educator throughout the Tampa Bay area and United States. Marci is currently a Care Manager Certified (CMC), an active member of the West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging Better Living for Seniors, a member of the Pinellas County Guardian Association, and member of the Financial Planning Association of Tampa Bay. In 2005, Marci was recognized by the Square Care Awards as “The Most Caring Nurse”.

Biography Bushko Insurance Group (BIG) specializes in working with seniors to help them choose Medicare, Long Term Care and Life Insurance plans that will suit their needs. In addition to working with seniors, BIG is able to help secure an individual health plan for the spouse of a Medicare beneficiary that is not 65 and eligible for Medicare yet. All appointments are conducted in-person at the clients home or local coffee shop. Hours are by appointment only. Heidi Bushko,President and Founder of Bushko Insurance Group,has a B.S. in Business Administration-Management from California University of Pennsylvania. She also earned an M.S. in Communications and Information Systems from Robert Morris University. Biography Larry Nuzum has over 33 years of architectural design experience in senior housing, multi-family residential and health care design and construction. He is Managing Partner & Director of Quality Control and Construction Administration for Chancey Design Partnership and is the firm’s specialist in building accessibility, building codes and fire codes. Larry has a passion for accessibility and thorough knowledge of the many specialized standards and requirements for health care and senior care projects, including the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), The Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), The International Building Codes (ICC), the Federal Fair Housing Act, (FFHA), the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development standards (HUD), and many others. He is also very familiar with medical equipment planning and specialized health care design and is familiar with the recent emergence in the health care field of Evidence-Based Design (EBD). Larry was awarded the 2001 Silver Achievement Award presented by the National Association of Home Builders Senior Housing Council (Best of Senior Housing Renovation) for The Fountains of Boca Ciega.

Biography Catherine Christie-Zanghi is a Managing Partner of Chancey Interior Design, Inc., located in Tampa, Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design, is a licensed Interior Designer in Florida and a member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Throughout her 20+ year career, Catherine has had a close relationship with the field of architecture and has engaged in many aspects of design within the Senior Living, Residential, Multi-Family and Commercial markets. She has managed many senior living projects, from full campus renovations, creations of standards and guidelines, to models for marketing and sales. She is currently working with a national Senior Living Management Company helping them put together a Re-Fresh and Re-New program for several of their Mid-West and East Coast properties. Biography Kimberly Albritton is the founder and President of Focus Design Services, a residential interior design and consulting firm based in Lithia, Florida, that combines innovative design strategies with consultation and education intended to perpetuate acceptance of Inclusive Design as the new standard in residential spaces. Kim holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design, is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), and a Certified Charrette Planner. She is an Allied Member of ASID, a professional member of the Universal Design Alliance, and sits on the steering committee for Women in Architecture (a division of AIA in Tampa Bay). Kim is also the founder of VIC2010, Visions of an Inclusive Community, a unique conference that engages in conversation professionals from the design, healthcare and education fields, disability and eldercare advocates and governmental agencies about just what it takes to design an inclusive community.

What do I do next?” Alongside his position as chair of the Emerging Business and Technology practice group at Gray Robinson in Tampa, Brent participates in several of his own entrepreneurial enterprises. Biography Hilary High has worked in the litigation department of Hill Ward Henderson, P.A. since graduating from law school in 1998. She represents clients in all phases of their industry, including policy and procedure development, regulatory investigation, litigation and dispute resolution. Her practice primarily deals with senior care, insurance coverage, and premises and products liability. She frequently provides training and lectures to organizations like the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. In Session 4, Hilary explains HIPAA laws and discusses how to properly handle confidential health information. Hilary graduated from Florida State University (B.A., magna cum laude, 1995; J.D. with honors, 1998), and lives in Tampa, FL.

President of Innovate Today, Liz Barlowe brings more than 25 years of experience in the aging and disability field and has received the Fellow designation from the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM). Biography John Gidding has been engaged in the practice of architecture and design for over a decade. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at Yale University in 1999, and completed his Masters in Architecture in 2003 at Harvard Graduate School of Design where he specialized in parametric modeling and digital design. Before founding John Gidding Design, Inc., John put his advanced digital rendering skills to work for various New York City based architects on several high-profile projects including the Johnson and Johnson Pavilion for the 2008 Olympics. Prior to that, he was a designer at Landscape Architecture Firm Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates where he contributed to the ALSA green roof and the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Gidding is best known for his work on the hit HGTV design series Designed to Sell and Curb Appeal: The Block. His artistry transforms how people interact with and make use of their living spaces, so that they can live by design.

Biography Chris Bruser, a Reverse Mortgage Consultant with MetLife Bank, has specialized in reverse mortgages since 2003. His prior experience as a financial advisor (1992-2003) helps him to teach families how reverse mortgages can enable many seniors to maintain financial independence and live in their own homes. Chris’s dedication to seniors is reflected in his volunteerism.
